When the character othello was introduced to us he was portrayed as this confident person. He was a great war hero, he was well like by the duke that when a crisis occurred in cyprus Othello was the first person he thought about to go and help defend the country because of how well he knew the battle ground. As we progress more into the book we see Othello confident start to founder because he started letting his insecurity get the best of him . For example ,when Michael Cassio got in trouble for starting the fight with Rodgerio Othello suspends , then Iago persuades Cassio to go to Desdemona and ask her to help beg othello so that Cassio could get his job back. But that doesn't go as it should because when Cassio asked Desdemona for help Iago uses that to his advantage by playing with othello mind.
