In the following paragraph, we see how William Shakespeare is surrounded by racism and how he brings it towards one of his plays that seems to revolve around racism a lot. So this small revelation on racism was put into William Shakespeare plays because to simply to understand more about how people will react if a black moor was put into a higher rank general and a romance with the senator 's daughter.
In this play only specific characters where only chosen to act racist and they were Iago, Othello himself,Roderigo and Emilia who only said one foul thing to Othello when he killed Desdemona, which was “"O, the more angel she, and you the blacker devil!". For Roderigo, his hatred for Othello not for his position as a general but for the love he has for Desdemona is when Roderigo simply doesn 't allow and throughout the play, he only calls out Othello with a racial slur is “Thick lips” which to believe isn 't that big of deal for Shakespeare to bring
