Evaluation When performing the experiment, the pill bugs were generally unresponsive, and many stayed in the same place throughout the whole experiment. Outside of this, no major problems occurred while performing the experiment. If the experiment were to be performed again, more of the IV (baking soda, rubbing alcohol, etc.) would be added to produce a more pronounced effect on the pill bugs, as most pillbugs did not move at all. The results are mostly trustworthy and accurate, as the data is backed up by the research done prior to the experiment. Conversely, more trials could have been performed as experiments with living organisms tend to need a larger sample size.…
“See if you can guess what I am now … I’m a zit. Get it?” - Bluto Background: The purpose of the antiseptic lab was to show the effectiveness of multiple antiseptics: hydrogen Peroxide, Purell hand sanitizer, Water and Iodine.…
The overall purpose of this lab was to determine what kind of meats were present inside of Taco Bell’s sausage crumbles and to find out if there was any misleading labeling in the popular product. Our hypothesis was that we would find various types of meat present in the sausage such as pork, beef, and chicken. Our results supported our hypothesis. According to our data, the sausage was composed of pork or pig that came from the Sus genus. There was no other type of animal present in the sausage other than pig.…

Did research on what males and females look like. We observed the frozen flies. On the first week we used fly nap as an anesthetic for the flies and waiting for them to fall asleep. We sexed the flies and put 10 male and 10 female into a tube.…

All of this matters and is important to know about because it is key to understand the background of the experiment beforehand. This investigation relates to past research based on the…
The science that happened in the skittles experiment is that the skittle turned tiny another thing that happened is that the s on the skittle came off it didn’t dissolve like the rest of the skittle did and also the color of the skittle dissolved…
The purpose of this project is to see which liquid evaporates at the fastest rate, when it is directed toward the sunlight. People should care about this project because, for example if you are stranded on an island and you only have sprite, apple juice, and cooking wine then you would need to know which one will last the longest. This can impact your daily life because most people end up leaving their drinks all over the kitchen and forgetting about it. They come back the next day realizing that they left it out, and they are left wondering if the liquids are still good.…
For 43 years and counting, an explanation for a medical phenomenon without scientific evidences is still supported. Shaken Baby Syndrome has been drilled into the minds of Doctors and Pediatrician as fact, and is here to stay. Shaken Baby Syndrome was first coined by John Caffey in 1972. This syndrome was based on his personal observations of babies who had these three symptoms, but no obvious signs of physical trauma to the head or neck. “The state’s theory is that a person can pick up a baby and shake the baby hard enough to create subdural bleeding in protective layers of the brain, bleeding in the eyes and brain swelling that can leads to the baby’s death.…
For my group’s project we changed the size of the woosh bottles to .5, 1, and 2 liter bottles. I learned that the size of the bottle strongly affects how far the bottle will travel. The larger the bottle, the farther it travelled. I learned that the chemical reactions in the bottle with the ethanol and the flame creates energy which propels the rocket. The ethanol is also ‘absorbed’ by the fire of the match.…
Based on his study, what would you conclude about the impact of social structure on social interaction? That even if we are normally one thing we are willing to behave/conform to what we think society is telling us we have to be. We are willing to assimilate within the group or surroundings (based on which side you’re viewing) due to what we perceive our position to be and assume the associated roles/norms that go with it. And sometimes just to maintain our own sanity.…
: In total, 98 errors occurred in this experiment. An error occurred when the line drawn went over a bound of the maze. The first maze without the mirror had 1 error and took 18 seconds to complete. Using the mirror, the second maze had 22 errors and took 75 seconds to complete, the third maze had 22 errors and took 88 seconds to complete, the fourth maze had 18 errors and took 94 seconds to complete, the fifth maze had 6 errors and took 56 seconds to complete, the sixth maze had 11 errors and took 65 seconds to complete, the seventh maze had 7 errors and took 45 seconds to complete, and finally, the eighth maze had 11 errors and took 35 seconds to complete.…
If the test refutes the hypothesis however, then a new hypothesis should be formulated in order to correlate with the results of the test. Once the hypothesis fully supports the test, then a scientific theory can be formulated. The scientific method relies on hypothetico-deductive reasoning, observations, and facts (Reece JB et al. 2014). This is the main reason why biology is different from art and religion. Individuals want to have the ability to understand who they are and how they got to be the way that they are.…
