The 97-year-old Oshkosh Corporation has several choices to consider as it seeks to expand its international truck manufacturing operations. First, a shortlist of potential locations were established. The list included the countries of India, Argentina, and Botswana. Oshkosh already has a global precense with manufacturing facilities in nine countries, but none in the proposed new locations. Therefore, a detailed analysis of each country is needed in order to make an informed decision.
First, the labor statistics from the three selected countries, namely India, Argentina, and Botswana was analyzed for 2002 through 2006. Among the countries analyzed, India recorded the lowest monthly wages, and the slowest wage rate increase for workers in
