In San Diego, whenever there is trouble on the streets the public would know that there will be bright lycra rushing down to save the day. Mr. Xtreme will help if a party person gets lost, Vigilante spider will handle a large group that has gotten out of control, and Grimm will handle a citizen’s arrest. These real life super heroes are members of an elite and secretive group called: The Xtreme Justice League. The group will spend their time in the evenings going around the streets of San Diego by helping, promoting and volunteering for the homeless and keeping crime down. These disguises help shield these super hero’s from criminals tracking them down, finding their homes, or go to jail by violating their rights. Therefore, to protect themselves to others this also, affects how super heroes see themselves as and how he acts. Anonymity makes people act extremely different than what they are expected. In an experiment of reduced self -awareness Psychologist Phil Zimbardo asked women volunteers to wear pillow masks that gave a huge electric shock to helpless victims, as they were looked upon as aggressive. When the volunteers were in nurse uniforms they were less aggressive and produced less electric shock to the victims. By reducing self -consciousness can be a good and a bad thing.
