Wilde's father, Sir William Wilde was a well respectful ear and eye surgeon. He also was a writer who had published books on archaeology and folklore . Jane Wilde , Oscar's mother, was a house mother who was an extraordinary poet who often wrote under the name Speranza. As a child he had attended Porta Royal School.
