Junior in that age, in light of his poverty and his uncommon instance of talking and what he looks like, a furious feeling was derived. Beginning with blaming his family for their poverty and why they cannot do anything about it. Then, blaming the poorness itself. The reality of how much love Junior hold for his dog, prevent him to believe that Oscar will be gone, “Honestly, Oscar was a better person than any human I had ever known” (Alexis 9). The passing of Oscar, who is a total pure, turns into an image for the decimation caused by the poverty, and it is absolutely the worst thing about being poor.
