Introduction
On 14 February 2013 at 3:17 am Oscar Leonard Carl Pistorius shot his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp 4 times through a Bathroom door. Three bullets struck Reeva one shot flew through her right hip, a second bullet struck her right arm with the third bullet striking her in the skull. Oscar believed there was an intruder in the house, so he was trying to protect himself and Reeva by pulling out his 9mm pistol and pointing it at the bathroom.

Reeva Steenkamp's Death
The window had banged against the aluminum frame. Once Oscar Pistorius heard noise in the bathroom, he took his four shots at the bathroom door. At this point, Oscar did not realize that Reeva was not in the bedroom and was calling out for her to call the police. He could not hear her because of the noise let off by the 9mm pistol impairing his hearing. When he went to visually check on her, he realized that Reeva was not in the bedroom, so he put on his prosthetic legs to find her. Reeva's parents were upset with their loss, but they did not want Oscar Pistorius to be put in prison for his whole life they understood that people make mistakes, but they believed people have to take responsibility for their actions. Never noted during the court case and documentary was that Reeva Steenkamp parents were receiving payments from Oscar Pistorius for their rent because at the time of the trial Reeva parents had gone bankrupt and were getting evicted from their home if they did not pay their rent. This could have impacted their opinion on Oscar Pistorius trial.

Conclusion
Oscar Leonard Carl Pistorius was charged with second-degree murder for the death of his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp. Oscar Pistorius is now serving six years imprisonment at the Kgosi Mampuru II Prison before being eligible to apply for
