The Latino and Hispanic fashion, like the music and dance is a result of the merging of different cultures. Latino fashion is big, colorful and bold, and embraces curves in a way Americans often reject, but most women love. The Latin American contemporary style dress is bright with color, ruffles, shawls, and peasant tops that hang off the shoulders (Hill, n.d. Para 4). Oscar de la Renta is the most famous Latino designer, with bold designs that earned fame when Sarah Jessica Parker donned them during the “Sex and the City” days.
