Finally, on the 17 of December 1903, their airplane flyer took off (Orville Wright). Their first flight was 37 meters long. Many people had flown in balloons and gliders before but Orville and Wilbur were first to design an aircraft that can be controlled by the pilot in the air. By 1905, they had an airplane that had the ability to stay in the air for 30 minutes.
