1. To be astonished at the world, also said to be amazed, seems understandable but to be at home in it is so different. To be amazed at the world is easy seeing the sin in the world, such as all of the murder, rape and theft are so terrible. We are unfortunately at home in the world knowing that we as well are sinners living in a sinful world.
2. The way a madman can keep balance when he lost all but reason, is by keeping his carefulness, for “If the madman could for an instant become careless, he would become sane.” [11] Chesterton would answer the same way, Chesterton did say “Everyone who has the misfortune to talk” to someone with a “mental disorder, knows that their most sinister quality is a horrible clarity of detail.”
