One of the hardest branches of dentistry by far is being a Maxillofacial surgeon. Becoming an oral surgeon requires extensive schooling that other branches like Orthodontics and Periodontics do not. This particular practice also comes with many duties and tasks. These are tasks that are sometimes issues to advanced for general dentists. To perform these tasks you may also need to acquire some special certifications and licensing, Many steps have to be taken in order to become a surgeon and once the goal is achieved much more work needs to be done.
