This quote significantly shows how much talent was given to Orpheus. Without Orpheus’ talent for music, I cannot imagine how the myth would have been or would had it even existed. Music was literally Orpheus’ go to thing to do when it was going to be the death of him if he didn’t play or even when it was just for fun. With his talent, nobody can really say they he has sacrificed much for getting Eurydice back because it is what he does best, but for just what he has proven to be is enough to show the world. Therefore, the lyre and music itself would have made everything impractical for Orpheus.
