When the breakout of AIDS/HIV happened many people were affected by it. If a child's parent was sick then the child had to stop going to school to take care of their parents, which denied them of an education. There are 70,000 orphans due to AIDS. During the Rwandan Genocide many women and girls were raped in attempt to annihilate the Tutsi community and remove Hutu moderates and sympathizers. Many women and girls that were raped during the Rwandan Genocide suffered from physical damage and were infected with HIV.
