Orphan Train is the story of a teen rebel, Molly Ayer, who finds herself on the wrong side of the law, causing her to have to do community service. She discovers the old lady she does community service for, Vivian Daly, had a life crazier than her own. Through both of their points of view, you see Vivian’s life on the orphan train and Molly’s life in foster care.

Sydney Carton from A Tale of Two Cities and Molly Ayer from Orphan Train seem like the same character. They both feel like their life is worth nothing, but in the end, they do something good with their life. Sydney thinks nothing of himself, so he wastes his life getting drunk. Molly also thinks nothing of herself, so she tries not to get attached to anyone or anything. Until the
