We all face obstacles throughout our lives, but it is up to us how we handle them. There are many of our favorite celebrities who have been through a bumpy road to get to where they are at today. One person in particular is Orpah Gail Winfrey, who today, we know as Oprah. She did not become a successful billionaire businesswoman overnight. There were some mountains she had to climb in order to get to where she is today, especially being an African American woman born in the south during the 1950s.
Oprah did not come from a wealthy home and therefore, had to struggle growing up. Her mother was unable to provide for her so Oprah went about making things happen for herself. She did not make any excuses as to why she could not get what she needed.
