Tennessee is an at will state. Forming a union at Methodist Le Bonheur Hospital will ease employee tension. An employee must go through a grievance process in order to be fired when working for a union. They can only get fired if the action really warranted termination. Before being fired you must be giving several warnings. With a union in place, employees will feel more confident about speaking up about issues within the company (Holly Jr., Jennings, & Wolters, 2012, 2009, 2005).

In this meeting the outside facilitator and employees will discuss what the current conditions and issues that are in the workplace. Then, they will discuss the current relationship between management and the employees.
