Organizational Objectives & Strategy ‘Planning’ is another marketing function that is required when managing the marking process. According to Armstrong, G., & Kotler, P. (2015), “ Marketing planning involves choosing marketing strategies that will help the company attain its overall strategic objectives” (p. 55). The success of an entity depends on how clear is it mission statement and the strategies used to accomplish the organizational goals. The marketing objectives set out what an entity would like to achieve to attract customers and make business prosper. It also communicate their business philosophies and purpose to the public, reflects and promote a clear vision for the members of the organization, motivate staff and represents fundamentals and principles for an effective marketing plan (Southern New Hampshire University, 2015, p. 1). This practice is known as ‘market targeting’. According to Armstrong, G., & Kotler, P. (2015), “…market targeting or targeting consists of evaluating each market segments attractiveness and selecting one or more market segments to enter” (p. 170).
