Many employees encounter barriers when implementing changes. However, barriers can be due to employees, departments, inadequate training, lacking equipment (TSB. 2014). It is management’s responsibility to ensure that employees can implement change without obstacles and resistance.
COMMUNICATIONS PLAN
In healthcare, implementing a communications plan help sites, programs and services set priorities and focus on resources where they are needed most. If a plan is not created, there is a risk of circulating important information that is confusing, conflicting or unclear. The communication plan will be used a guide whenever HCHHA is communicating with the public, internal and external stakeholders, and partners. The internal stakeholders will include the board of executives, physicians, nurses, staff, and more. The external stakeholders will include patients, residents, family members, and education partners.
Challenges
At HCHHA, there may be a few communication challenges, such as the communities may not easily move past the long-standing concerns about services being removed or not in the area, such as hospice care and residents have to travel a great distance to receive care.
