Why Do People Eat Organic Foods

Over twenty five percent of Americans buy and consume organic products. Many people are not aware of how much food that is consumed is organic. There are many people that eat organic food because they believe it is better for them. Others eat it to keep our organic farmers in business. There are other people that eat it because they think that it will keep them in shape and looking good. Since people now days are all about being healthy, organic foods would be the right choice. It is a good idea to organic because organic food farmers pick seed that is right for the job. The seed they pick can not be triple stacked or roundup ready or anything like that. When conventional farmers seed their crops they will usually go and spray them and week or two later. They will spray them with chemicals that will kill all the weeds and prevent more from sprouting. Organic farmers can not do that because those sprays are chemicals and they can not use any chemicals. "The primary goal of organic agriculture is to optimize the health and productivity of interdependent communities of soil, life, plants, animals, and people" ( ). If they sprayed those chemicals or pesticides they would drain into the ground. When they do that they would be absorbed by the seed and then the plant would have those sprays inside it.
