Human trafficking is no doubt one of the biggest violations of human rights. As mentioned in the Declaration of Human Rights Article 3, everyone has the right to life, liberty and security of person. When one of the most basic rights is violated, the possibility that other rights would be followed through might be at a loss. Among the deeds that are categorized under human trafficking include slavery, sex trafficking, child trafficking and the trade of organ. While health problems increases it causes an increase in the waiting lists as well and patients with desperation for a better life would be willing to pay for organs thus encouraging the expansion of the illegal organ trade. Illegal organ harvesting would only continue to grow if there are no measures taken to bring this to an end. First and foremost, we think that it is important that people take care of their health and follow a healthy lifestyle. When people are well, the chances of getting diseases are greatly reduced. Thus the number of people on the waiting lists could be decreased. Besides that, it is advisable that campaigns and stricter laws should be implemented. Social media is one of the best ways to broadcast important information to the world to increase awareness and accumulate support from society. When there is awareness, possible victims are able to better protect themselves and call for help if they are faced with an organ harvester. So much so that when people have been able to protect themselves against organ harvesters, they can avoid the side effects of being organ harvested.
