Thinking through some of these arguments shows that this isn’t a simple situation. It can be debated both ways and both sides would raise good points. In the end it wouldn’t involve one side being wrong and one side being right. Instead it would answer the question of which side would be more beneficial to those involved. I found that I agreed with the idea that economic classes could be more split, moral issues may interfere, and the donor’s health could be put at risk, but I feel there has to be some way to get around all of this. I hope to argue for a well-regulated organ sale system that not only improves the lives of the donors and the receivers, but also satisfies the arguments of those who oppose the ideas.
