I think anyone with HIV should have the right to receive an organ transplant. I feel like their lives are important as the next person life. Yes, people with HIV are likely to die because of their disease, but I don’t think it will change a thing compared to a person without HIV. There are people that had HIV for years, there is no say so when their lives are going to end because they have HIV. 2013 Pres. Barack Obama signed the HIV Organ Policy Equity Act, or HOPE Act, ending a decades-long ban on the transfer of HIV-positive organs to HIV patients.
