Oretha's Confidence In Writing

Follow me as I tell the tale of a girl who lost her confidence in writing. There once was a girl named Oretha who loved to write stories any chance she could. Her mind was a fairytale and when she put a pen on paper her characters would come to life. It was like painting a picture only hers was an imaginary world. How did she learn to write you might ask. Well, it is because she read tons of books. so many she can hardly count. Those books helped her realize her love for fairy tales and she tried recreate those stories for fun. There were no rules of proper grammar or punctuation, just emotions that needed to be expressed. She poured her out emotions after being bullied, or the desire to experience love. She learned emotional content was not the only component to an effective piece of writing, however a good writing technique was needed as well . To season her skills she continued to enroll in advanced writing classes instead of taking the easy road. She figured the higher academic institutions she would go to, she would need to be a skilled writer, so she should improve her writing skills now. She practiced writing essays like rhetorical analysis papers, Literary reactions to novels and everything in order to increase her skill. She also thanks her teachers for not being easy on her because she needed a challenge to become better. During one of the sessions with her teacher. She realized she needed to add more detail in her writing. Instead of writing," my dad went to the store to pick up dinner" say, "my dad sprinted to the store, sweat dripping down his exasperated face as he approached the last sizzling rotisserie chicken the customers were fighting for." Those details is what makes the writing piece entertaining for the reader. She also began to read higher level literature so she can advance her vocabulary to improve her writing even more. She continues to use the tips she has learned to excel on future writing prompt she is introduced to. She knows with every encounter, whether it be writing an essay, or novel the key persevere regardless of the writer's block she may have. Also, passion for whatever you are writing will take you far in the piece. With the addition of these new found lessons she hopes to become an excellent writer in the
