Celebrities are people who are famous for something they have accomplished or what they are known for. They could be known for playing a big role in a Hollywood hit movie, or they may be well known for winning American Idol. Ordinary people are common people who are not well known throughout the world and are not millionaires like most celebrities are. We see these ordinary people in our everyday lives, but celebrities are hard to come by.

People think differently of celebrities than they do average people. Society thinks very highly of celebrities because they are “popular”. This is the reason celebrities have an easy time starting new trends such as a new clothing line or a new song genre through social media. People tend to buy things which they know were derived from a popular person or their role model. Ordinary people do not make as great of an impact on the way society goes along with trends.
