Introduction:
As you know, we are having a problem with our customers not knowing where to order and pick-up their food. They are spending more time trying to save their spots in line than they are trying to figure out what to order. This is causing the environment to be very stressful, and we are losing customers, money, and reputation as a result.
Investigation and Evaluation:
I asked a variety of customers and employees what we needed to improve on as a company. One of the main responses was that none of the customers knew where to order and pick-up their food. This is a big problem considering that this is the main objective of our company. They also stated that they weren’t able to focus on the menu because they are trying to prevent people from cutting in front of them in line. The result of these problems is a tense and stressful environment.

Both signs would cost $49.98 including shipping and handling and would take 5-7 business days to be delivered. It would take an hour to install both signs (1 x $7.25 + $49.98 = $57.23). The best part is that the signs are made out of glass, so you can see through them. They won’t be in the way of the customers. This helps alleviate where people need to go, but doesn’t completely solve the line problem.
In addition to those, we could train a host/hostess to help people maneuver around the store. They would need a new uniform (here) and would require a day of training. The uniform would cost $25.51 including shipping and handling and would be delivered in 4 days. We would only need them for 2 hours a day for 5 days a week (2 x 5 x $7.25 + $25.51 = $98.01). This would help answer any questions that customers might have, and we can guide them in the right direction to keep order. This would not be effective if a large crowd walked in
