Orchestra Observation

The Band and Orchestra room is to the left in the hallway and is filled with lockers, instructional pieces, and instruments. The first instrument I see when I enter the room is a wooden piano. The conductors chair is an old office chair that worn down so we can see the padding inside of it. Looking around the room I see many lockers ranging from small to large depending what is inside them. Each locker is completed with a metal door that resembles a jail door. The room has three short floor levels in which everyone can stand or play on, they are a crescent shape. When we do fundraisers we this room is usually used for sorting boxes such as when I did for the Made In PA fundraiser. The generic items are not the only thing that complete this …show more content…
The podium where the attendance is recorded is on the left right before the white board and in front of the alto section. There are two white boards, one that is front and center and also another one behind the grand piano. The piano is a black piano and it usually has music papers all over. I sometimes stand there behind Bryce and mess with him hoping to mess him up. I sometimes also like to try and play chords or something someone shows me. To the left is a rack full of movies that Dr. Ryan shows the choir sometimes. The movies all have to deal with music, for example, The Sound of Music. The piano faces the different choir sections that are grouped together. There are 4 levels to the room so all sections can see the conductor when singing. Last year Dr. Ryan had a movie in for one of the last days and I sat on the floor and Eileen and I decided to take a small nap. If I stand at the white board in the center I look out to see a sea of metal folding chairs. In the very back corner I see the electric pianos for Dr. Ryan’s class. One day at the beginning of choir Seth and Stevie went to one of the pianos and started to use a preset that did beat boxing. They eventually were told to stop by Dr.
