She previously talks about Tilikum, an orca who has a record of killing trainers, showing that in captivity orcas have acted violently towards trainers and even gone as far as killing them. There is no record of an orca ever showing aggression towards humans while in the wild. This demonstrates how using orcas for entertainment has caused their behavior to change, proving that using them for entertaining human is not good for them.. In Gabriela Cowperthwaite’s documentary “Blackfish” she interviews many people, including SeaWorld worker and marine biologists, about the current situation in SeaWorld regarding Tilikum, an orca. Many of these people have stated that they never expected Tilikum to attack and kill his trainer because it is so uncommon for orcas to be aggressive towards human in this matter. This demonstrates how using orcas for entertainment has caused their behavior to change, proving that using them for entertaining human is not good for them.
