How would Orange Keys and the University benefit from having you as a member?
Becoming an Orange Key would first and foremost be a complete honor and something I would take great pride and joy in becoming a part of. I could bring numerous things to the University and the Orange Keys. For example, I would be able to demonstrate my leadership skills and would like to show other Bearkats how to not only lead but be an effective leader. Some examples of these skills are that I have held a leadership roles on every athletic team I have been a member of, I am a supervisor at the recreation center here on campus, as well as being a trainer at Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen in Duncanville, TX. I also would love to also bring diversity to the University and Orange Keys not only because I am a minority, but also my history of living in a household that made no more than $30,000 annually, as well as one bringing in more than $100,000 annually helps me understand both sides of the coin. Last but not least, I would also take pride in bringing hard work and service to both the University and the Orange Keys. I have learned how to work hard when playing sports, and working two jobs to help my mom with cancer, as well as putting

Describe a successful team and what type of team member you are.
A team is something that is comprised of more than individual that work together to achieve a common goal. A successful team is one that achieves that goal trying to be met as a unit. In a team, everyone should have a role, whether it be small or large. Being a team player is one that is willing to sacrifice self endeavors for the betterment of the team. I,myself, am a team player and sometimes I love to lead and others I don’t mind following or doing what is asked of me to complete a task. I always believe you must follow before you lead and a great leader knows how to follow.
