This is because I am a huge fan of him personally and he is very popular amongst young people today due to his popularity. My magazine is about fashion, fitness, successful and inspirational stories about Nick Bateman. My target audience is young people especially to those who aspire to become a model in the future. I chose these topics because they are all based on him, such as it about fashion, fitness and his personal stories that no one knows. Thus, this would appeal to the audience because they want a mixture of everything.
I have chosen 4 cover lines because I wanted to create a magazine that has a mixture of everything and they are based on fashion, fitness and more. This mixture of everything will appeal my target audience because all his audience will know his fitness and fashion secrets and all gossip. These cover lines are short so the audience can read it easily.
For cover lines, I have used various colours because every cover lines have its own significance. For example: “Nick Bateman explain himself”, Nick Bateman is in red because I wanted his name to stand out alluring the audience to want to read this article. The rest of the words are in white because everything that is published is true about him. I have used various fonts because I wanted to make it look modern and decorative as it is aimed for young people

The Covergirl makeup line is another product category that could play with self-concept and self-esteem in marketing. For years, covergirl had not had a makeup model for African Americans. I think that Covergirl would get more clients by having a variety of African American celebrities or models to advertise products at one time. Franklin states “Due to economic pressures, advertising decision makers have been pressed to tighten and restrain marketing resources, including Black and other culturally targeted efforts, rather than increasing them” (Franklin, 2014, p. 260). The Covergirl need to come up with a realistic advertising concept for the everyday busy woman.…

After reading the rhetorical analysis, Essay about the Coca-Cola commercial, "Anthem" I gave the student a B. In my opinion, the student exhibited her ability to adhere to the guidelines of the assignment. The essay was effective at showcasing a commercial created within the past 3 years, identifying the year aired, reaching her intended target audience (high school students), as well as, ensuring that the commercial was within the acceptable time limitation of 30-60 seconds. For those reasons, I gave the student a full 20 in the criteria for genre/audience. Concerning the criteria for focus, I gave the student 16/20 because I feel that the student was effective in maintaining the main idea of the essay, however, did not maintain the stance of each paragraph. For example, the paragraph meant to touch base on the influence of American culture provided examples of elements within the American culture such as sharing stories, sharing smiles, sharing exciting parts of life but did not elaborate on what makes them unique and influential in American society.…

Dr. David Henson, the head of English department started the program at sharp 11 am. After him, author Kevin Wilson went to the stage and began by reading his own story “Go Fight Win”. First of all, I was already impressed by the way he read the story; his voice so clear that it feels like to listen him for hours and hours. And the most amazing thing about Kevin Wilson was his response to the question; how he explained the answer asked by the students. He said that he wrote a story on the worst case scenario; for one of the character’s girlfriend who was apart from him.…

They chose to use paid subscription magazines since these are sent to people who want to read the magazine deliberately, and are most likely to read the whole magazine and view all of the advertisements in it. The magazines also were at least monthly, since weekly or more frequently published magazines tend to be more news oriented, so people may tend to not view the advertisements as much as something that they are reading for leisure. The magazines that they ended up studying were published in November 2009 and consisted of Elle, Allure, Glamour, Vogue, Cosmopolitan, InStyle, Family Circle, Good Housekeeping, Better Home and Gardens, Ladies Home Journal, Redbook, Southern Living, and Woman’s Day (Conley & Ramsey…

Whether we are aware of it or not, an effective commercial that is focused on advertising a product is meant to equally influence our attitudes towards a product. Having said that, many marketers have a number of different strategies they use in order to convince the targeted audience that they need something in their life. Notably, one of these many strategies used are rhetorical methods. One particular commercial that successfully uses rhetorical methods is the Cover Girl #GirlsCan commercial. In this commercial, Cover Girl attempts to capture female attention by using rhetorical devices: ethos, pathos, and logos.…

My goal is visual storytelling for print and digital that is content-driven, clear and easy to navigate. I accomplish this by collaborating and communicating with photo and word editors. This also requires staying up-to-date with daily news and being familiar with our newspaper's content. I often juggle multiple tasks during a design shift. In addition to my design responsibilities, I help make sure design desk schedules are accurate and posted in a timely manner, fix plotter paper jams, resolve digital issues, manage page flow, convert graphics to our style or correct them, provide detailed explanations of workflow issues, create illustrations and provide help to my colleagues when needed.…

The first genre that I decided to include in my multi-genre project was an interview. The reason for this is because it would allow the audience, in this case Mr. Gilmer to have a better understanding of my knowledge on colorism in regards to Blacks. The reason for why I named the interview Cameleon is because it goes well with the idea of people accommodate their looks to correlate with their environment. In the interview,I first decided to describe my definition of colorism and state how it relates to the Mexican culture since at the beginning of the year I only knew how colorism affects latinos and hispanic. Later in the interview, I wrote of the connection that I thought Blacks had with colorism and to what level they were affected by it.…

What intrigued most about 1984 is the symbolism it held. This is why I wanted to recreate a book cover that held a great amount of symbolism and a visual art piece that channels the many themes explored within the text. When writing 1984, I believe George Orwell’s style of writing and point in conveying actions were quite distinctive. His syntax gave off a tone of hopelessness and warning. A slow and fearful journey we follow Winston through that book…
