The Case for Optimism on Climate Change In the Ted Talk Video “The Case for Optimism on Climate Change” filmed and published on February 2016 at a TED conference. Al Gore former, U.S Vice President talks about the climate change that we are experiencing and the consequences that are happening all over the world. Gore presented and answered three important questions during his presentation. The first question was, do we really have to change? The second question is: can we change? And his last question was, will we change? With these three questions, Gore explains the issue of climate change and global warming throughout his ted talk. If we stop changing, or if we don’t pick up the pace soon, we will have very serious problems. Things will reach a point where we won’t be able to control them and this will cause many more people to die and many more places to just be destroyed. I do think that we can do more about it, we could just follow Germany’s example. In Germany people are encouraged to mount solar panels on the roof of their own houses to produce their own energy. This isn’t very cheap, but with the help of the government to make it more accessible and affordable, I believe that many people would do it. If we can implement this in as many countries as we can, we wouldn’t have to rely on any fossil burning powerplants anymore. The government should also start to invest more in electric cars, and stop destroying our forests. I would recommend this video to anyone to watch, because I think it was important to see all the impacts that we are having and that we are moving towards a change and that many countries are acting up on the issue.
