Although Oprah Winfrey struggled as a child that did not stop her from what she does today.Oprah winfrey was born January 29, 1945 in Kosciusko, Mississippi.Oprah did not grow up with her mother and father at first. Oprah winfrey grew up with a rough childhood. Her parents abandoned her, and just left her with her grandmother. Oprah’s mother left her when she was 4 years old and moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin so Opah stayed with her grandmother. Oprah was raised very religiously because of her grandma so she had to go to church and read her bible, but her grandmother got sick so her mom had to come get Oprah. When Oprah got there she was shocked to find out that her mother had another baby. Oprah's mother adored the baby and gave oprah no attention.
