Oprah Winfrey was born in the rural town of Kosciusko, Mississippi on January 29 1954. Her parents Vernita Lee were a former house cleaner and Vernon Winfrey was a coal miner, barber and city council. Begin a troubled adolescence in a small farming community; friends and family of her mother sexually abused Oprah. Shortly after Winfrey’s birth, her mother moved to Milwaukee to pursue a job and leaving her daughter in the care of her grandmother. Considerably of her early life at church, this provided her with her first opportunities to display her talents. With her Oprah Winfrey Show begin on the air her first opportunity was to targeted woman, soon leading to a controversial topic brought on to the show it appealed to people all to people of all genders, ethnics, and ages. The show promoted many things on her show such as books, movie releases and helped broaden not just women’s point of view and significance but she helped to realize that every human has an importance in the world. The show went on to receive multiple Day Time Emmy Awards and several other prestigious awards. As her show expanded by starting, releasing a monthly magazine called “The Oprah Magazine” that was a monthly for women’s lifestyle publication. The launch of her first magazine was the most successful startup in history. When Forbes published its list of America's billionaires for the year 2003, it disclosed that Oprah Winfrey was the first African-American woman to become a billionaire. (IMDB
