Oppression is a phenomenon that has a very big presence in our society. Social justice is seen as a process and end goal for the demolishing of oppression altogether. However, to end oppression we as a society have to acknowledge that oppression is present and causing a problem. Many people do not believe that oppression is present, just like they believe we got rid of racism. Unless we can agree that there are privileges present, there will always be a dominant group that has more power over others. Every oppressed group present in our society today are fighting for the equality they deserve. No one group should have more power over others, but that is what is happening in our society.
