The Overview of the Nigeria Education Sector
The Federal Republic of Nigeria, Africa’s most populous country is in the West African sub-region, bordered by Niger in the north, Chad in the northeast, Cameroon in the east, and Benin in the west. Nigeria currently has 36 states with a Federal Capital Territory and a population of over 150 million people. Osun state is one of the 36 states in Nigeria; it is located in the south western part of the country with a population of over 3 million. Nigeria has 3 major languages, Yoruba, Ibo, and Hausa but Osun state is predominantly a Yoruba state. The official language is English, although most people speak their native languages in addition to English. English is the only language used in schools, for reading, writing and speaking.

It is a no internet device simply because it discourage students from checking harmful website that can distract there attention from the educational purpose of the tablet. The lack of internet features has not totally make the tablet boring, as the popular proverb which says “All works and no play makes Jack a dull boy” (Randle, 1611), It has been equipped with development games such as chess, Sudoku and Tetris which are also considered as educational and brain building games.
The tablet has a Dictionary, Bible, Koran and Health book. It has 512MB of Ram and an internal storage capacity of 32GB. The E-book Library consists of 17 Core Subjects with 4 Extra Curricula Subjects for Senior Secondary 1, 2 & 3 levels making a total of 55 textbooks available on the Opon Imo Platform. It also has a Virtual Classroom which consists of 17 subjects for Senior Secondary 1, 2 & 3 which culminates into a total of 51 video tutorials made available to
