In this essay I will be discussing my personal opinion about The Book Thief by Brian Percival. This film is about a young girl named Liesel and her experience in Germany during word war One. I really enjoyed this film due to how the main character evolves from a shy girl with little knowledge into a courageous, mature women, and through hard work she learned to read and write alongside the help of her foster father hans. In this movie a girl named Liesel Meminger loses her brother and is given away to foster parents called hans and rosa. This story is set in World War One and shows how easily people can be manipulated by one supreme leader. To me this sounds just like North Korea's Kim Jong Un who, like Hitler has used his power to take over the minds of people to make them think …show more content…
It's for the best”.This quote displays his caring side as he just wanted to keep them alive and he thought they had done enough for him . Max is a young Jew in his twenties who is in strife due to Hitler's racism. His mum tells him to run away to freedom whilst the nazi officers are searching for Jewish people in his local town. his father saves hans life in the war and so they agreed to hide him in there basement and that's where he meets Liesel. But because it's winter he almost freezes to death but he fights through and builds a bond with their family. He eventually has to leave because he no longer wants to put them in danger which shows his caring, loving side. In my opinion he is my favourite character because he reminds me of my brother who is a fighter because of his persistence when it comes to endurance and asthma. He is also one of the nicest people I know who wants the best for me and helps me a lot which, to me reminds me of max

Collier is saying that love is not easy, and not worth it if it is not real. Based on the the text “The Chaser” he would agree with the quote, “The only thing worse than a boy that hates you: a boy that loves you.” by Markus Zusak from The Book Thief. I think he would agree because the way he portrays Alan it shows he thinks that love is annoying and hard to deal with when you do not love the person back and they want to make you love them but you just do not want to.…
