Operation Valkyrie: Hitler's Role In World War II

Over 600 plots to kill Adolf Hitler have been created. Out of these 600 plots, only one plot has come close. This was from the power of Adolf Hitler. Adolf Hitler was one of the strongest, most powerful men in the World War II. Many people wanted him dead. Claus Von Stauffenberg was closest to killing him in, Operation Valkyrie. Operation Valkyrie was significant in World War II because Hitler was nearly killed in the action, which led to his downfall.
To begin, Hitler was a powerful, ruthless man which he got as a child.. First, as a child, he had an unstable household. His parents died within four years of each other, creating a mind that was mean and vicious. Hitler also became homeless in, 1909. In addition, as a child, Hitler learned

To start, the briefcase bomb was not the original, Operation Valkyrie plot. The original plot was for a bomb to explode while Hitler was on an airplane and kill him. This original plan failed. When the bomb never exploded Germany had to come up with a new plot. After the bomb didn’t explode, the briefcase bomb plot was created. This would come so close to killing Hitler. The plan was for Claus von Stauffenberg to plant a bomb in a briefcase and have it explode in a meeting with Hitler at “Wolfsschanze” near Rostenberg, East Russia (History Channel 1). In addition, this bomb would be so powerful it would for sure kill Hitler. Stauffenberg would sit three seats away from Hitler, plant the bomb, and then leave (Jones 188). The plot was ready to be put into place. In the morning of July 20, 1944, Stauffenberg started prepping the bomb. Stauffenberg was in a room, on the campus of the meeting, prepping the bomb. He was running late and a guard came to escort him to the meeting. Since Stauffenberg was running late he didn't get to finish prepping the bomb (Jones 188). Arriving late, Hitler ordered Stauffenberg to sit down and he would hear his plan for attack later (Jones 189).When Stauffenberg sat down, he position the briefcase under the table so it could kill Hitler when it blew up. After a couple minutes, Stauffenberg left the room saying he was receiving an urgent phone call from Berlin (Jones 189). With Stauffenberg gone, the bomb was ready to explode. At 12:42 p.m. the briefcase bomb exploded. It destroyed the whole building and left everyone hurt (Jones 192). With Stauffenberg gone and the bomb exploded, it was time for Stauffenberg to
