To survive in the market there are few factors like marketing of product, customer satisfaction, Cost of Product, Quality etc. which should be taken care of.

Also they have to look after the disciplinary matter. They develop the health and safety rules which are followed by all the other organisational function. So whenever the operational manager is in need of staff they discuss with the HR department regarding the skills and ability needed for that position and at last operation manager select right person for that position. If operational manager need any changes in safety or disciplinary rules he contact to HR. Also after recruitment of staff, operational manager has responsibility to train that staff. Thus it is very important that HR and Operation Manger works together in an organisation
Purchasing department is the backbone of many retail and manufacturing industries. The main role of purchasing department is to procure material which includes tools, machinery and raw material. They evaluate price and talk with different vendors. The operational manager has to manage the inventory of material for production. So, when operation manager needs new material or want to reorder the raw material, he asks the purchase department to find the best price in the market so the goods produce are low in cost.
