There has always been a difference of opinion on which form of shopping is superior in this era: Shopping at conventional retail stores such as Walmart, Sears, Target etc. or Shopping at online retailers such as Amazon, Wayfair, Newegg etc. In the following essay, I will be conversing the advantages and disadvantages that both forms of shopping present.
Online Shopping
Online Shopping has seen an exponential growth in the past decade. Individuals prefer online shopping chiefly because of its convenience, unlike shopping at conventional retail stores. With over 650,000 online retailers that generate annual sales of more than $1,000. This gives customers the ability to browse through billions of items from the comfort of their home. In order to purchase an item online, an individual should have a computer or a smartphone that has access to the Internet. The next thing the customer should have is a pay-pal account or credit/debit card to pay for their product. If the payment is recognized in the sellers account the product will be delivered through postage to the address of the customer within the due date that is mentioned at the check-out. Something to keep in mind is that there are many forms of delivering an item ranging from standard to expedited shipping, depending on how quickly a customer would like his or her item he or she has the ability to choose. Generally, it costs more to ship an item with expedited shipping.
