So I decided the best thing to do would be to review my papers thoroughly. Now, before I submit any paper I review it multiple times to fix any problems that I can. One thing that this essay taught me was the importance and benefits of having multiple drafts in the writing process. Prior to this essay, I did not understand how to use the revision process to clarify and perfect my ideas. I now have fewer corrections or problems with my essays.

I have worked hard to correct punctuation, fragments, and writing in the wrong perspective. This class increased my confidence about college level writing. The style of writing that the class introduced was not what I learned in high school. I believe I have learned a lot in this course and will carry the skills on with me in all of my writing endeavors.

Another thing I learned in this class was in-text citations. I had never used those before and was confused at the concept. However, now I understand how to use in-text citations and realize the benefit of having them in a paper. I understand the in-text citations because of my reviewing of the PowerPoints and other resources provided to me. The resources and PowerPoints were very helpful in explaining everything I needed to know. I have also learned how to write a thesis statement. In past essays, I have written that has been a problem. This skill will be incredibly helpful because I am hoping to take english classes in the future.
