Online Education Vs In-Class Education

Good Essays
The topic of online education has many controversies as to if it’s better, or worse than in-class education. In my personal opinion, however I believe that it’s better only when you have dedicated students. Having the freedom to choose when, and where you learn also comes with the responsibility of ensuring that you do the work. There are a multitude of perks to online learning along with even more drawbacks; some of which include that it is harder to receive help from an instructor, and it requires more dedication, on the upside however some things are better such as that it is less time restrictive, and you can work around your job schedule.

This helps many people, who could not attend college because they had no time for in-class schooling. This is especially helpful for parents and individuals who work full time jobs, and cannot afford to take the time off to go to school. This very reason is the cause that makes many people continue working miserably in their current career field, even though they may be happier and less stressed with a college degree. As we advance our academic freedom through online learning, we also better our society by giving more people even greater opportunities to be successful. Along with increasing our academic freedom, it also reduces the risk of a teacher favoring a student, or even worse having biased views against students. With online classes you are never actually face to face with instructors, so they cannot decide on a personal level whether like you or not. Even though it is unprofessional for a teacher to act in such a way, there is no way to get around certain bias believes that an individual may have. One final reason that I believe online courses are better for some people, is that certain individuals cannot work in extended periods of time on tasks. Many people have very short attention spans, and forcing them to divulge in uninteresting material for hours at a time can actually be harmful to their learning experience. In some cases teaching for too long can cause students to shut off and miss out on the material. However in online classes students can choose to do small bits and pieces at a time to complete their work more efficiently and with less stress. Also taking a break between doing work is good for the brain, because it allows the mind to shut off and relax, whereas students who have been working tirelessly for hours may miss more mistakes because they are so

Online classes give students better opportunities to improve their education and day to day lives, recover credits they lost because of the loss of commitment and take extracurricular classes that will help them stand out from other students because they went over and beyond. Online classes may seem like they are a big hassle to handle but they really aren 't if one puts commitment and effort into them. Online classes is a better opportunity because they give students the chance to work on them whenever they have the time too because they might also have other things to worry about, for instance, work or sports. Also, students will have to make sure don 't start to slack off and get behind because it can be difficult to catch up and stressful because the more behind you fall the more demotivated one will become and they may also give up on the online classes like they did school. Online classes are just better depending on the student but they seem to be working better than schools do and give better opportunities for students who lost…

What mostly becomes the issue is the correct amount of students allowed on a course, because many mistakes on grades and misleading comments cannot help a student improve or pass. It is the perfect alternative without increasing spending for colleges and universities. It creates a stress-free environment to help the students live their lives better.…

Moreover, teachers can keep track of students in face-to-face learning, making sure that students are using safe and accurate resources. Thus, claiming online learning is better because it provides diverse resources would not be a reason supporting online learning anymore. Furthermore, students would easily get distracted in online learning because there is no one who is watching them. If students are in an actual classroom, there are fewer possibilities of students to do other stuffs or get distracted because teachers would keep track of them. Online learning might be convenient in few ways such as handing in works; however it creates environment that is not suitable for students when getting education.…

Online school is not more convenient for students and teachers, because it causes teachers to have individual time with all of the students either online or face to face. Online may be a little more flexible, but you have less discipline and self motivation and also not very much social interaction. First, Rasmussen college said “traditional school can be flexible if you want it to.” It can be flexible because you can schedule your classes to be different then your work hours, or other activities. You could take classes at night so you have all day to work, or you could always not work and do classes whenever you want. You could also take a class where they…

Online learning is easier for everyone involved less gas is spent on taking kids to school, less money is spent buying school supplies and other school necessities. Now I am not saying online learning is for everyone, but it can be if we put our minds too it, who knows maybe one day we won 't even have public school, and everything will be online. I can see the parents concern as to their child falling behind or not getting the same kind of education because it is through a computer, but it is still a real person that is teaching the content, not some robot. Have you ever tried online education, what side of history are you…
