Match.com, Plenty of Fish, and Tinder. All of these are names of dating websites that many have heard at least once. Either through a friend who is on one of these sites themselves or advertising. They advertise on Facebook, Tv, and even radio to find true love, which is every ones final goal. One out of Ten adults are registered with an online dating service. Now one-third marriages met online. All you need is a mobile device with internet and can be flipping through hundreds of profiles to pass the time. The impact of online dating has changed the social norms. This paper will include the history of online dating and where it all started, the pros and cons of online dating vs traditional dating How the profiles online have subconscious affects how to attract others and lastly how online dating has changed interactions and the normal ways of dating. These sites can be used to even find a friend or a one night stand. It's changed finding a date more into a sport were the possibilities are endless and the search is all part of the fun, or to pass the time. They say the chase is most of the fun, but why not have the chance all the time. It has grown in popularity and acceptance. Online dating is just not for young people, they actually have dating sites for all age groups. They have dating websites for 65yr and older to over 70 years
