Is not a misgiving that humans have changed the way a human communicate to another and it all because of the advance in technology. Just as online dating that attracts millions of users every day and is rather viewed as a new phenomenon that is taking over the world. Online dating is seen as a site where people get to know possible mates that are similar to the other person. The users usually require to register and in some case, a payment is needed in order to register. Along with the registration, the user needs to provide personal data, and the user has the alternative option of providing a photograph(s). The user is also required to take a personality quiz that will then help the site to find a type that similar. The industry has made millions …show more content…
Silverman emphasizes a major idea that he carries throughout his book that based how the online users provide every detail of their life to social sites that can lead to being manipulated in different ways. Just as Bryan Rutberg that was hacked from his Facebook account and all his personal information was manipulated to make his friends think that he was rob on a overseas trip and needed money to return back, the scam was successfully completed (25). That is what catfish is based on telling stories about online romantic partners that are filled with a mystery which at the end it revels the true identity of the person who is the catfish.
