Online Classes In High School

Everyone always said ten weeks were going to be quick and be over before we noticed, and it's true. Compared to my friends in states school who started before us and ending after us as well. This quarter was confusing from getting lost in the humanities building multiple times to having to wait in the financial aid several times. I met up with Vinay probably a week after our first visit, yet I did accomplish the goals we set. One of the them being signing up for the Mathematics placement exam. I had yet to take it since I applied to riverside in a different major that didn't require it. Another goal we had set was to continue adjusting to my courses. I believed having classes in high school at 8 would be the same for college but it wasn't. Although I do live on campus which should be easier it's not. For the English I was taking (English 4) I had to take the supplement course so a lecture and a discussion but for this class it was a lab. I wasn't familiar with taking online classes before since I hadn't before. So basically we'd have online quizzes and workbook problems every two weeks. Another thing checking the syllabus is difficult. Not only are some really confusing to understand, some go off schedule. For example in my lecture English class, our professor would tell us not to check th syllabus since he wasn't following it anymore but then next class he'd say to turn in the assignment that was posted on the syllabus. So the times I did complete the assignment he completely disregarded it and when I didn't he'd ask for

This was not what I expected when coming to Stanly Early College. At that time, I was only fourteen years old with no friends at Stanly Early College, which made me feel very out of place. In High School I would of never imagined me attending Southern Adventist University. I honestly did not think that I would attend any school over about $6000 dollars anyway. The community college in my neighborhood is where i was expected to go. It was cheap enough to where i wouldn’t have to pay a dime, close to home and nearly everyone i knew started of college there to save money. With my parents being from Haiti and not making enough money to support me in school community college was what i thought to be as the ideal school for me.…
