OneRepublic, an American pop rock band, has successfully had several hit songs in the past 10 years. They started out in 2002 with members Ryan Tedder, Zach Filkins, Drew Brown, Brent Kutzle, and Eddie Fisher. Ryan Tedder is the lead singer, Zach Filkins is the guitarist, Drew Brown is also a guitarist, Brent Kutzle is the bassist and cellist, and Eddie Fisher is the drummer. In 2003, they signed with Velvet Hammer, an imprint of Columbia Records. They made their first album with Greg Wells. Their album was scheduled to be released on June 6, 2006, but they were dropped by Columbia two months before the album came out. The lead single of the album was “Apologize”. It was released on April 30, 2006 on MySpace, becoming number one.
