One Tree Hill Quote Analysis

I think there is no better way for me to do this than to start it out with a One Tree Hill quote (Season 3 Episode 1 if you couldn't remember). I actually just watched this episode today. Of course, when I watch the show I think about you because you're the one that recommended it, but every once in a while there are quotes that really make me think of you. This quote really came at a timely moment for me. I have been thinking about this since you were here last Wednesday. I think I want you to be that one person, that one soul that I need--if you would have me.

I see you in the sun and in the birds and in the new flowers that this Spring has brought....but none of them rival the way you look when you smile at me.
I hear you in every acoustic

This shows Atticus loves Maycomb. Everyone in the town is aware of or related to him, which proves that he is well-connected and loved. Atticus’s kids, Jem and Scout, are well-known, too. A prediction I made was that Atticus’s wife must not have been around, since she was not mentioned at all. This quote introduces Calpurnia, who is a mother figure for the kids throughout the book.…

Jem Finch and Scout Finch were raised in the intense love and logical choices that they get from their father, Atticus Finch. However, they were lack of feminine influences as their mother died when they were little. But throughout the book, the reader quickly learned that there are numbers of women that play crucial roles in filling in the gap of femininity that presents in the children’s state of mind. One of the evidence is in chapter 3, where we see Calpurnia, the housekeeper, educate Scout to become a better person at treating other people. The incident happens when Scout embarrassed her company, Walter Cunningham Jr, as she kept questioning about Water in the using of an excessive amount of syrup, which reminds him that he’s poor.…

Quote: “The land is flat, and the views are awesomely extensive; horses, herds of cattle, a white cluster of grain elevators rising as gracefully as Greek temples are visible long before a traveler reaches them" (3) Element: Capote provides the reader with a sense of the setting in this quote by describing the flat land of Holcomb, and the farm based structure of the town. He also specifically compares the clusters of grain to Greek temples. Effect: While Ancient Greeks are primarily known for their advanced civilization and prosperity, they were also notorious for their brutality and violence. Like the Greeks, families like the Clutters were prosperous and very successful. By describing Holcomb as one similar to the Greek civilization, Capote…

Everything you think, feel, and act has to be perfect. In the passage from To Kill A Mockingbird by Harper Lee explains how this little girl named Scout says thank you in her own way by sticking out her tongue to the African American servant named Calpurnia. In the book to Kill a Mockingbird the author shows the reader what it is like to experience many events and emotions in the time. Even though there are a lot of events and emotions, I think that the novel mainly shows experiences of racism, through unfair court cases, racist comments and racist stereotypes. In the novel To Kill a Mockingbird, unfair court case is just one of the ways racism is portrayed throughout the novel. For example, the quote ‘"He got me round the neck, cussin' me an' sayin' dirt--I fought'n'hollered, but he had me round the neck.…

In the novel To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee, Lee helps us to understand as to who are the mockingbirds in the novel she especially wanted us to see Atticus, Boo, and Tom. Throughout the book Lee is able to present to us many valuable meanings, but the one that stands out to everyone is that innocence should be protected, but cannot always be protected. Many characters can be portrayed as mockingbirds throughout the whole novel, but the three that stand out to me are Tom Robinson, Atticus Finch, and Boo Radley. These three characters are innocent anyway you look at it, but each of them get in hurt in their own unique way.…

There’s a famous quote stating, “Never judge someone without knowing the whole story.” This implies that the victims of the bullying could be going through something that causes them to look or act a certain way that they can’t control. In Harper Lee’s famous novel, To Kill a Mockingbird, it clearly shows, through the character of Arthur Radley, how judging people based on what others say can cause false accusations shown through imagery, ironic rumor, and an unexpected plot twist. Judging people can causes other people to assume falsely about how someone look.…
