One Problem with Anderson

Anderson, IN has a lot of problems but there’s a certain problem that really sticks out to me. Anderson doesnt have very many things for people to do. I feel like if there were other things such as clothing stores, a bigger shopping mall, and more activities people wouldnt be getting into as much trouble. Firstly, Anderson’s Mall or also known as Mounds Mall , has very little stores or activities. If you go to other places such as Hamilton Town Center , there mall is huge and has plenty of things to do and places to eat. Anderson’s food court is tiny compared to the Hamilton Town Center. Anderson will get so much income from the amount of money people will spend

There will Never be a Chip in my Brain M.T Anderson leads us to believe that the feed is actually a bad thing in his novel, Feed, because it is causing people to lose their vocabulary and be controlled by the feed. I live in Alpena, Michigan; it’s a pretty small town. There are plenty of things we could do to make it a better community. For example, if our community would engage in more volunteer work, like helping the Alpena Huron Human Society and cleaning up the streets, Alpena’s appearance and reputation would would be affected in a positive way. To give Alpena a more friendly approach to tourist and people living here we could participate in volunteer work. It’s a great thing you could do that doesn’t cost the community a lot of money, if any at all.…

Most of the American society follows a certain set of rules. There are social niceties that must be observed, and while there are variations depending on what area of the United States you live in, for the most part people value good manners, morals, and politeness when dealing with others. However, as Elijah Anderson’s book explains, there is a different set of rules for those who live in the inner city, and a different source of social capital, respect. Nothing is more important in the inner city than the concept of respect, and as Anderson explains a lot of the actions that seem foreign to those who live outside of the world of the inner city make sense when thought about in this context.…

With particular direction techniques, Alan Parker depicts the diversity between Agent Ward and Agent Anderson. In a wide two-shot of a scene in which criminal investigation takes place of a burned site, the contrast between the two agents is emphasized through the shot which places both agents in significantly distant positions. Specifically, Agent Anderson is shown to be in the middle of the site that is being explored whereas Agent Ward is positioned farther away from the core of the site. This shot in itself shows the practical and maximal involvement of Agent Anderson into his investigation of the case from his position on the investigation site. Conversely, Agent Ward’s distant setting shows his unwillingness to completely immerse himself…

Alan Parker uses costumes to present the character differences between Agent Ward and Agent Anderson. Throughout the film, we, as the audience, can see Agent Ward dressed mostly in suits that are darkly hued which represents his introvert and reserved nature that is further depicted in his method of criminal investigation. His professionalism and authoritative disposition is clear as he investigates the case by a logical and enclosed procedure set by his strong work ethics. Comparatively, Alan Parker presents Agent Anderson in clothing that is similar to the locals of Mississippi. A significant part of Agent Anderson’s costume is his hat which is seen worn by many locals in the opening scene.…

Coffee shops, gas stations, restaurants, and retail stores all serve in a community where they have consumers that want what they offer. A gas station may not be successful in a community where most people walk to work and school or use public transportation and therefore not need a car but may thrive on an exit off an interstate. Without the people in the communities to purchase their goods and services there would be no business at all. The same hold true for public service institutions. For instance, a public bus line may not be needed in a suburban area where most people own cars but may be more beneficial in a city environment.…
