One Of The Most Exciting And Entertaining Days Of My Life

It had possibly been one of the most exciting and entertaining days of my life. I’ve been wanting to get out of the house for awhile, and October break finally made it happen. My feet ached badly throughout the days I spent on vacation, but it was worth it as I went on several thrilling rides, ate mouth watering foods, and had an adventurous time exploring throughout the theme park. Then, at the end of the day in my hotel room, I looked at myself in the mirror.

Anxiously, I was sitting at my desk throughout school. At the time, I was in 7th grade and it was near the end of the day. Mrs. Cordes had been scolding the class, but my mind was drifting towards other thoughts instead. The sunshine casting through the window in her classroom already

Today was a lucky day for me, because it was a weekday, and not many people were in the park, which made shorter lines. I can recall going on about a dozen rides in that one day, and not regretting going on a single one just because of how short the lines were. Even though I went on several entertaining rides, my dad suggested we go on the It’s A Small World ride just to experience how annoying it was, and he sure was right. As soon as I got into my hotel room, the song was still stuck in my head. Trying to ignore it, already began planning what I rides I would take a chance at the next day, and where I’d go. I looked ahead of me, and could see the sunlight reflecting through the window, casting a shine through a quarter of the hotel. I was pretty tired at the end of the day and then looked ahead, where I could see a queen size bed calling just for me. Just as I was about to jump in, I looked in the mirror. The lower part of my face was covered in pimples, I suddenly realized how bad my lips were burning, and also, a streak of water dried up on the lower-right lenses of my glasses. None of these things were my concern until now just because of how much fun I was having. The worst part is, I couldn’t do anything about it. I didn’t have any Noxzema, lip balm or lens cleaners. They all just sat home several hundreds of miles away from me under …show more content…
However, if I would have planned more carefully for vacation, I wouldn’t have had to deal with some of the minor issues I faced over that period of time. This experience was important to me because it taught me to always think about what you should pack for wherever you go, whether you’re moving, taking a vacation or anything else related. Sometimes, you don’t even think about the minor things that you might need later

As a child, my parents shaped me into their ideal image of a little girl. The formation of their ideals actually started long before I first opened my eyes in the hospital. My story began back in 1988, when my parents met while working at Walt Disney World as cultural exchange workers from Canada. Their romance is a fairy tale. They had their first date at the Magic Kingdom, they spent all their days off on a Florida beach, and they experienced the technical magic that Disney is so well-known for.…

The summer before middle school, a weird transitional time for most. This was when I went backpacking for the first time. My dad and I went to Manistee National Forest, which you can locate on your hand map a few centimeters lower than Lake Ann and covers a little more than a thumbs worth of space. I step out of my dad’s truck and everything felt right. The smell of damp earth and decaying leaves hits my nose, travels to my mouth, and creates a smile.…

Have you ever got to enjoy hot and ready breakfast in bed? Well, I have, on the day I got to go to Six Flags which to be exact was February the second, twenty-thirteen. Oh, the smell of apple wood honey bacon with two over-medium eggs with a hash brown intrigued with cheese and onions in the middle is the smell of breakfast at its finest. The morning was also a treat in itself with the view of the marvelous, enchanting sunrise and the bluebonnets that my family and I have planted in our backyard gave the right appearance for the new day. Now, this was a Saturday so there’s no school…

The day seemed to drag on and on, as I waited, counting down the days to California. It was a humid, sunny afternoon down at the Alton pool, where I usually spend most of my summer days working as a lifeguard. Today was very different than most…. And maybe the reason why was because it was my last day of work before I flew off to the big L.A. Most days at the pool the time went by slower than any I have ever known, with the scorching hot sun burning my skin, and little kids yelling at their friends telling each other secrets or what they want to play next.…

“They say that college is where you find yourself, but I feel more lost than ever.” Although this may be true, I began to think I was looking for something to blame. This quote replayed in my head, as I walked out of the counselor's office with both my parents along my side as I felt the vibe of their uncertainty with my decision to go back. Before it gets good, it gets more boring. Summer had started and it’s been a year since I’ve been to college.…
