This quote is very significant to the story because it is when Ginny finally releases all the anger built up inside of her against her aunt. It is the perfect way to end the book because Ginny accepts her aunt’s death and finds closure.
2. “I was coming to ask if you wanted to go to Scotland with me.” (pg. 102)
This quote is important to the book because it is about when Ginny got up the courage to ask Keith to go to Scotland with her. When Ginny does this she doesn’t realize it yet but it is the start of a life changing relationship.
3. “Just a guess, he said, his eyes lingering over her bag. I’m Richard.” (pg. 27)

This quote is important to the novel because it was not until Ginny kissed a random Italian boy named Beppo that she realized that she was in love with Keith. It showed that Ginny was very in love with Keith and could not be with anyone else.
5. “Aunt Peg had made a crazy collage of hundreds of magazine pictures of them, then painted around the pictures with big globs of black and hot pink paint.” (pg. 177)
This quote is significant to the novel because it is when Ginny gets to experience her Aunt’s art for the first time. She finally got to see what her Aunt had been gone so long doing.
