One Day To Day Research Paper

Our job activities are consistent in a day to day basis. Everyday we get to the job site and we perform a lot of activities that are to be done always. First and foremost; We fill out the job brief. Even before we get any tools out of our truck we first discuss the main tasks to be completed that day. The foreman gathers the crew and explains the process, risks, and variables that go with completing the day's task. Second, we set up the job site and get the tools that are going to be needed. A good practice that my foreman tells us is that we always have to use the right tools for the right job. We try to keep all tools organized and ready for the next use. We always keep in mind the safety of people when we get to set up the job site. Most of the time we allow egress for pedestrians and vehicles to get by. Third, we dig. The bread and butter of what we do is digging. Digging is a task that its better said than done. There are a lot of variables and difficulties when it becomes to digging. Many times in this job I've fell down, felt hopeless and tired. The pay sucks, and the work is intense and long. Many times I thought of quitting the program and going back to my former job that was less stressful and that pretty much pays the same. However, I understood that its only the beginning of my career in the utility industry and that I obviously don't have a lot of things figured out yet. I realized that the pay and work might suck at the beginning but unlike my former career as a chef; the utility industry is very lucrative.
